Could &#8220;SIN&#8221;\u00a0be such a word?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tom.macyplace.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/SinOrEvil.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-149\" src=\"http:\/\/tom.macyplace.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/SinOrEvil-300x294.jpg\" alt=\"SinOrEvil\" width=\"300\" height=\"294\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tom.macyplace.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/SinOrEvil-300x294.jpg 300w, http:\/\/tom.macyplace.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/SinOrEvil.jpg 465w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0couple Sundays ago,\u00a0we had an interesting Bible Study discussing the nature of evil and God&#8217;s sovereignty. As the discussion progressed, one of the members sat bolt upright, leaned forward, and said, &#8220;I never thought of it like this before&#8230;When I say I daily must deal with sin in my life, what I am really saying is that I must deal with <strong>evil<\/strong> in my life. That makes it a whole lot more significant. We all have sin in our lives; we say it in church, at home, and in our Bible studies. But, what it really means is that there is evil in my life; and I have a tendency toward EVIL!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Has our use of the word &#8220;SIN&#8221; softened its meaning? \u201cSIN\u201d is something we should hate as much as God does.
