The Court now requires that\u00a0States\u00a0issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tom.macyplace.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/roberts_License.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-176\" src=\"http:\/\/tom.macyplace.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/roberts_License.jpg\" alt=\"roberts_License\" width=\"220\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This requirement does not mention churches. However, as long as\u00a0pastors sign marriage licenses as part of their church&#8217;s marriage ceremony,\u00a0the ruling will involve those churches.\u00a0So, how can\u00a0a church\u00a0avoid the problems related to traditional marriage&#8217;s incompatibility with the Court\u2019s ruling? How will the Church separate itself from the government\u2019s decision on the meaning of the <em>license<\/em>?
